This whole pregnancy has flown by at a extremely fast pace. Well that is up until The past few weeks. I had a doctors appointment on the 5th. At that appointment my doctor stressed the importance of going to the hospital if I had more than 5 contractions in an hour. Then informed me that I had to go to a class the next day. Which happened to be my first day back to work after Christmas Break. Brooks and I took the day off and went to the class. Afterwards, I went home and started working on curtains for my friend Elizabeth's baby room. I kept having a tightening in my stomache and at 10 when I started paying attention to the clock, I realized that I had 5 contractions in 30 minutes. I was contemplating going to the doctor and I got a phone call my Kim saying that we did not have school on Wednesday because of flooding. Well, off we went to the hospital. 4 hours later and a shot of the worst stuff that stops contractions later... (they were 3 minutes apart but I did not dialate) we were back at home. I finally went to school on Thursday and I know that I probably paniced myself because of the previous episode, but sure enough I was having contractions and ended up at the hospital Thursday night. Again, 4 hours later and a shot of the worst stuff that stops contractions. Well, I took of Friday and rested up just in case it was stress.
This last week was much better. I worked until Thursday and had to take off early for a doctors appointment. There just happened to be a cold front that came in and caused our school to get canceled on Friday because it was 7 degrees out in the morning. I then had the weekend and was off on MLK Jr. Day. Wouldn't you know that on Monday it actually snowed here ALL DAY and what a meraculous surprise... school was canceled. So, that leads me to today that I was going to have to take a half day for a doctors appointment but I was happy to get to go back to school to help ass the time. I got up, raced around, grabbed my phone on the way out the door, and I saw that Kim had left me a text. NO SCHOOL! I know that most teachers in the other counties are jealous. My child has not got out of school for any of these days (which is funny) but I am ready to go back to school. I have 24 more days that are slowly creeping past now. I am ready to see this little girl that has been kicking the crap out of my ribs. This is the basinette that my dad made for my little one. I found the pattern in a magazine and put daddy to work. I have then taken it to Rose Ann's and we are working on sewing the liner and she had the C's put on the sides. My goofy father asked why we were putting C's on it and said that we were going to have to make a new liner for every child. I tried to give him time to realize it was for Chamberlain. I don't know that he ever reached the realization on his own.
This is her bedroom with her changing table and bed. I have been working on it slowly over the past 6 or more months. I am so excited about being able to use it. I did have a picture of her very full closet, but it was very blurry.
